Arti Sharma-Grey is the Founder and Lead Storyteller of Once Upon a Bus Ltd and OUAB CIC. With many years of experience delivering immersive storytelling based workshops and presentations, "Arti the Elf" is the heart and face of the bus.
A passionate event host and performer, she specialises in bringing stories to life using voice, props, projection, and audience participation.
Arti co-designs and leads all workshops, tailoring each session to engage children of all ages and abilities. Her warm, energetic style has made her a favourite with schools, families, and community groups across Berkshire and beyond.
Creative Director
Matt Grey is the Co-Founder, Lead Creative, and Content Producer of Once Upon a Bus Ltd and OUAB CIC. With a strong background in media production and creative direction, Matt is responsible for the physical (bus) design, visual identity, storytelling content, script development, and overall creative direction of the project. He also plays key supporting characters on the bus, including "The Captain", "The Bubbleman", and "Father Christmas".
Matt’s work ensures that every session is not only educationally rich but also visually engaging and professionally produced, ensuring that Once Upon a Bus deliver high-quality experiences to all who step aboard.
Non-Executive Director (Governance)
OUAB CIC Director Helal Stephan, known to many as Stephan Stephan, is a retired civil engineer and project manager. Twice past president and a member of Maidenhead Thames Rotary Club, he promotes and delivers educational events & Rotary led learning interventions across the local area. Stephan has extensive experience in governance of mainstream and SEN state schools. He also coordinates with local primary schools in Maidenhead to provide volunteer readers who visit schools to encourage children to practise and enjoy reading for pleasure. Stephan is passionate about children becoming literate from a young age - to favourably shape their futures.
Stephan's role is as our independent guardian of corporate integrity: "Holding executive directors to account by providing objective scrutiny of performance, strategy, and risk management, to ensure high levels of financial transparency, and that company funding is used appropriately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards."
